At Bloomers we use an electronic management system called Famly. This system allows parents to access their child’s profile at any time of the day, on any device with internet access. The Famly app ensures excellent communication with parents. It is a paperless system that enables us to easily and securely provide and receive information about your child/children; helping us to build stronger partnerships with parents. Famly allows you to see important events as they happen. We are also able to share our observations of children’s well-being, learning and development and link it to the Early Years Foundation Stage so that you can see and understand the progress your child is making. The Famly app also allows our staff to share photos, videos and instant messages with parents and parents to share information with the nursery via their mobile phones, tablets or laptops.

Starting your child at Bloomers

Bloomers Day Nursery are delighted to welcome you to our newly opened day nursery school. Our aim is centred on nurturing and developing children from 4 months to 5 years old.

Starting your child at nursery is a big change in a baby or child’s life, as well as a parent, therefore we want to make that transition as easy as possible for all our parents and carers. Each child is unique and the amount of time that a child takes to settle into nursery can vary enormously. Therefore, children will be given time to settle in at their own pace, so that they feel welcome, safe and confident in a new environment. Our settling in sessions allow your child to develop relationships with our staff and other children in their room, and it also provide an opportunity for parents to discuss individual needs, routines and any other issues with the key person.

Key Persons

A key person is a named and specific member of staff assigned to an individual child to support their development and act as the key point of contact with that child’s parents or carers. The key person system helps to build and develop positive relationships with children and between parents, carers and staff.
